Gretchen started her metal working/jewelry business around 2010 and in 2019 started collaborating with Ben to make copper resin artwork. Gretchen had been trying to figure out how to mount copper scenes on wood, but couldn't come up with a workable plan. Ben had been investigating resin and suggested putting the copper in a frame filled with resin. It worked! It's been so great working together, bouncing ideas around, planning, and actually making things. Sometimes, Gretchen comes up with an idea in copper, and Ben designs a frame for the piece. Other times, Ben experiments with different frame styles and then we figure out what design would suit that frame best.
