Ben mills some of the wood he uses from local fallen trees. He was really excited to get his portable sawmill! (below)
After milling the wood, he slowly goes over and over the wood with his router to flatten out the wood and take off the rough edges. It's too big to go through a machine, so this part has to be done with the router sled that he built. This video is in real time, not slowed down! (above)

Above is a quick illustration of how the wood is cut down into the correct size for frames. It takes a lot longer than this, but we thought that might be too boring to watch it all!
